This week and next are extension weeks for the grade six students. They will be getting their first taste of dramatic writing this week. The assignment: Prepare a spooky story for a spooky room to act out for visitors to the Happy Kids ASLA Haunted House on Halloween. The students are expected to prepare a room in the 6F Haunted House with their groups. They should prepare the story, script, decorations, and costumes themselves. They then have to perform it for the children who visit the Haunted House.

We started working on this assignment this week, and they are excited to get back to work on it next week. During these weeks we will not be having a spelling test, grammar lesson, or vocabulary words. We will still have library on Tuesdays, and WIRSFs are still due on Tuesday as usual. I will not be posting video of the Haunted House, but pictures will be posted after the ASLA Halloween Fun House on the 31st.

Happy Halloween!
