This week: The Hero and the Minotaur

posted Jan 24, 2016, 7:13 AM by Jason Brunken
This week in Grade 6, we will be exploring Ancient Greece as we read a version of the well-known Greek myth "Theseus and the Minotaur" called The Hero and the Minotaur. This class is really interested in Ancient Greece and their stories of gods and heroes. I hope they enjoy this week's reading. If you are not familiar with the story of Theseus and the Minotaur, take a minute to read more here or watch the video below.

The handout with this week's spelling and voabulary words is posted below. There is also some grammar practice and an overview for what we will be doing this week. Take a minute to review it this week.

This is our last week of class before Chinese New Year Break. All classes from February 1-12 are cancelled for the Chinese New Year Holiday. This means that no WIRSFs are due for the next 3 Mondays. Enjoy the break, but do try to read. It's a great time to catch up on reading. All my best to you and your family over the holiday. Happy New Year!
