Space Race Propaganda Role Play Activity

Our next activity for our Space Race unit will be a role playing activity. Students will draw lots and be placed on either an American or Soviet propaganda team. Their teams will be responsible for either diminishing or praising the launch of Sputnik I.
Students should first peruse the information in the What is Propaganda slideshow and the Space Race Propaganda examples slideshow below. After they finish, they can begin working on the activity with their team. The instructions for this assignment can be found here.
