The Giver: Color, Culture, and Symbolism

Color and its powerful symbolism plays a pretty big role in The Giver. Lat Saturday we began an activity where you were asked to look at different colors and write down what thoughts or feelings the colors elicited. I know you are all excited to share your answers, but first take a look at these images below and learn more about how colors used across cultures and the various meanings that get attached to them (click the images to see the full sized file).
